Our initial goals were modest. Karie dreamed of a small, comfortable restaurant where friends could gather and enjoy some honest home cooking. Dave fell in love with the Flathead Valley and wanted a business that would put him in the middle of Bigfork commerce. Carolyn thought Bigfork deserved a memorable place to have breakfast. We haven’t been years in the restaurant business. In fact, prior to the Pocketstone Café, none of the three of us had ever really worked in the restaurant business. But we’d spent several lifetimes eating in restaurants and we knew what we liked and what we expected. And we weren’t ready to accept anything less. In our opinion, neither should you. A year into the business, we're confident you won't have to.
